The Zachary Broncos are moving on.
In a hard-fought Division I Non-Select playoff series, Zachary took two out of three games from Ruston, showcasing resilience and timely execution to punch their ticket to the next round.
The series opened with a strong performance from the Broncos, who secured a 6-3 victory in Game 1 behind solid pitching and clutch hitting. Zachary followed that up with another tight win in Game 2, edging Ruston 4-0 to take control of the series.
Ruston responded in Game 3 with a 3-0 win, forcing a decisive Game 3, but Zachary answered the call when it mattered most. The Broncos shut out the Bearcats 2-0 in the final game, leaning on dominant pitching and timely defense to close the series.
Across all three games, Zachary's ability to win close, low-scoring matchups proved to be the difference. The Broncos consistently delivered in key moments, whether it was getting out of jams on the mound or producing just enough offense to stay ahead.
