Coach Cole Stapler is in his 3rd year with the Broncos. He graduated from Dutchtown High School in 2013 where he was All-District in 2012 and 2013 as well as District MVP, All-Metro and All-State in 2013. Upon graduation, Cole was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 35th round of the MLB draft, but chose to go to Nicholls State University instead. Cole pitched for the Colonels for 4 years earning 15 wins with a 3.5 ERA over 240 innings. In his senior season, he earned 2nd team All-Conference as well as All-Conference Defensive team. In 2017 Cole was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 22nd round. He pitched from Rookie ball through Double-A with a career ERA of 3.24 over 258 innings and retired in February of 2021. Cole is married to his wife, Morgan, and they have a new baby boy, Wes.
