JACOB FISHER

Coach Jacob Fisher is a native of Zachary, La and 2008 graduate of Zachary High School. During his time as a player, he was part of the 2008 State Championship team and earned honors including All District, All Metro, All State and High School All American status. After high school, while playing for LSUE in Eunice, LA, the Bengals won the 2010 NJCAA National Championship. During his two-year stint at LSUE Jacob earned recognition from a national perspective by receiving awards of Rawlings Gold Glove Catcher of the Year, Easton’s Defensive Player of the Year, and Player of the Year for LSUE. In 2009 the Bengals placed 3rd at the NJCAA CWS. After leaving Eunice, Jacob spent two years playing NCAA Division l ball at Southeastern University. Both years he was named to the Johnny Bench Watch List. While attending Southeastern he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. Upon graduating in 2012 Jacob chose to pursue a career in teaching and coaching for Zachary High School. Jacob Fisher took over as head coach of the Zachary High School baseball program in 2017. During Coach Fisher’s 7 years as head coach, he compiled a record of 169-67, This includes 5 District Championships, advancing to the State Semi-Finals in 2017, and Quarter Finals appearances in 2018, 2019, and 2022. In 2018 the Broncos set a school record going 35-4 and ranked number 1 in the country during the season by Max Prep. In seven years, Coach Fisher has helped 31 players reach their goal of playing College Baseball. In addition Jacob has coached players that were Golden Spikes Finalist, Members of Team USA, and at the Minor League Level. In 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022, Coach Fisher was named District 4-5A Coach of the year. In 2017 he was named All Metro Coach of the year. In 2024, Coach Fisher was inducted in the LSUE Hall of Fame with the rest of the 2010 National Championship Team. Coach Fisher lives in Zachary, with his wife Anna and has two daughters Ali Grace and Claire
