Melanie K. Anderson is the head coach and choreographer for the Zachary Belles. She is from Lafayette, LA and danced since she was 2. She took over the Zachary Belles Dance Team in 2008 when she moved to Zachary and revamped the group to be a competitive team. She took the team to UDA Nationals for the first time in 2010 and has gone every year since then. The team won their first National Championship in the High Kick division in 2023. She currently serves as the English Department chair and teaches Dual Enrollment English at Zachary High School. She also works as a dance judge where she travels around the country giving feedback to some of the best studios and teams in the country. She lives in Zachary with her husband and two daughters.
