Zachary Community School District

Kia Coleman’s hometown is St. Francisville, Louisiana. This is her second-year teaching and second year as an assistant Track and Field coach. This is her first year at Zachary High School. She also contributes to our athletic program by coaching volleyball as well. Before her time coaching at West Feliciana High School, West Feliciana Middle School, and Zachary High, Coach K spent 4 years at Southeastern Louisiana University.  She attended college on a full athletic scholarship(track) and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Coach K is hardworking and no stranger to athletics. In her high school years, both her junior and senior year, she was runner up Long Jump and Triple Jump champion. Coleman was also an impressive leg on the 4x100 relay her senior year that won the state title. She was also highlighted in other high school athletics where she earned multiple First Team All-District and Metro honors.
