Kristian Jackson competed in power lifting for Coach Jason Davis and Track and Field for Coach Chris Carrier. As a power-lifter she was the 2015 and 2016 regional champion where she earned 2016 outstanding lifter honors and was the state runner-up in both 2015 and 2016.
For the Track and Field program she insured that the Broncos had first place points in 2 events (discus and shot put) before most running events even began. She earned All State recognition in the shot put from her freshman through senior year and All State in the discus from her sophomore through her senior year. During that period, she won eight individual District 4-5A titles in the shot put and discus, four regional titles, and five individual state titles. She was named the 2018 Advocate Star of Stars Track and Field athlete of the year and garnered All Metro Track and Field in the shot put and discus in 2018 and 2017 when she was identified as the Outstanding Field Performer.
During Jackson's four years the ZHS girls Track and Field team won 4-5A District Championships in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, 5A Region II championships in 2016 and 2018 and then there are all of those State Championships. Jackson is one of 2 female athletes to win 6 team State Track and Field Champions. She was a critical component of the Indoor and Outdoor State titles in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
After graduation Jackson took her considerable talents to Southeastern Louisiana University where she competed in track and field while earning a bachelor's degree in business administration. Jackson continued her winning ways with the Lions. She was the 2022 Indoor Southland Conference Shot Put Champion and weight throw runner up. In the Spring of 2022, she won the Southland Conference Discus Championship and was an NCAA qualifier while finishing as a conference championship runner-up in the Shot Put and Hammer. In 2023 she was the Southland Conference runner up in the shot put in both the Indoor and Outdoor Conference Championships and was the Discus champion.
Milazzo played football for David Brewerton and baseball for Jesse Cassard and Jacob Fisher. During his sophomore year on the gridiron as a QB and safety he helped the Broncos reach the 5A semifinals before locking into his passion on the baseball diamond.
On the diamond he was a feared catcher with a cannon arm that dared opposing teams to take a lead or heaven forbid, attempt to steal. Milazzo was selected first team All District 4-5A and All State as a junior (2018) and as a senior (2019). He was also the All Metro catcher in 2018 and 2019 when he was also named the District 4-5A MVP. He was ranked as the No. 3 player in Louisiana's 2019 class by Prep Baseball Report, received a national ranking of No. 127 by Prep Baseball Report and No. 305 by Perfect Game.
Milazzo's impact to ZHS baseball teams was immediate as he started his freshman season (2016) as the Broncos (22-12) advanced the second round of the 5A playoffs. During Coach Fisher's first year and Alex's sophomore season they advanced to the semifinals (29-11). As an upper classman in 2018 the Broncos had one of their best regular seasons in program history advancing to the quarterfinals and finishing 35-4. His senior year the Broncos were 29-11 and advanced to the quarterfinals. The Broncos won the District 4-5A baseball title four times during Milazzo's tenure. He left Zachary with a career batting average of 0.348 with 16 stolen bases, 3 home runs and 79 RBIs.
Milazzo signed with the LSU Tigers to play baseball and through his career played in 185 games with 125 starts. Many remember the magical 2023 LSU season where Milazzo became the first ZHS baseball alum to play in and win a baseball National Championship at the College World Series. During the College World Series, he played in 6 games with 5 starts including the last one when he memorably limped off the field a National Champion. Returning to LSU in 2024 Milazzo was 24-7 in the 31 games he started as catcher and was named to the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional All-Tournament Team. Milazzo also made the SEC Academic Honor Roll every year earning a bachelors in Sports Administration.
