The Lady Broncos put together an outstanding performance at the LHSPLA State Powerlifting Championships, highlighted by a dominant showing from one of the program's top athletes.
Gabby Anthony captured the State Championship in the 220-pound weight class, adding yet another title to her incredible year. This marks her second state championship in just two months, as she also claimed a state title on the wrestling mat earlier this season. Her strength, consistency, and competitive drive continue to set the standard for excellence across multiple sports.
The Lady Broncos also saw a tremendous performance from Nilah Duhe, who had a flawless day on the platform. Duhe went 9-for-9 on her lifts, setting personal records in all three events and showcasing the results of her hard work and dedication throughout the season.
Rounding out the team's top performances, Megan Roussell earned a 6th place finish, competing hard and representing the program with pride on the state stage.
The Lady Broncos' success at the state meet is a reflection of their commitment, preparation, and relentless effort throughout the year. With multiple athletes stepping up on the biggest stage, the future of the program remains incredibly bright.
